1. General provisions
1.1. This Policy describes which cookies and similar technologies are used on the website refocus.community, including its language versions hosted on subdomains of that domain (together, the Website), for what purposes and on what legal grounds.
1.1.1. Analytics and advertising cookies are used on both language versions of the Website, refocus.community and en.refocus.community. The set of cookies is the same on both.
1.1.2. Some cookies are set for the refocus.community domain and are technically available on its subdomains; others only for the address the user is currently on. Cookies that record the user's choice belong to the second group, so consent is requested and stored separately on each language version of the Website. A choice made on one version does not carry over to the other.
1.1.3. This Policy is published on both language versions of the Website. The English translation is provided for the convenience of users; in the event of any discrepancy in interpretation, the Russian text prevails.
1.2. Cookies are small text files stored in the browser when the Website is visited; they make it possible to recognise a device on subsequent visits. Similar technologies are used alongside them: browser local storage, pixel tags and device identifiers.
1.3. Certain cookies and identifiers make it possible to identify a user directly or indirectly and therefore constitute personal data. They are processed in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 "On Personal Data" (the Law) and the Personal Data Processing Policy of Refocus LLC published on the Website.
1.4. The Operator is Refocus Limited Liability Company (ООО «Рефокус»), INN 7606050404, OGRN 1047600807539, address: 11, 13 Neftyanikov St., Yaroslavl, Yaroslavl Region, 150023, Russia.
2. Cookie categories
2.1. Strictly necessary (technical)
These keep the Website running: they store the settings chosen, protect against request forgery and automated attacks, balance load, and record the choice the user has made about cookies.
Legal basis: performance of the contract with the user (Article 6(1)(5) of the Law) and the Operator's legitimate interest in information security (Article 6(1)(7) of the Law).
No consent required. The Website does not work without these files; they cannot be switched off.
2.2. Analytics
These show how visitors use the Website: which sections they open, where they run into difficulty, which sources they arrive from. They are used in aggregate form to improve the service.
Legal basis: the user's consent (Article 6(1)(1) of the Law).
Set only after consent has been given. Declining does not affect how the Website works.
2.3. Advertising
These are used to measure the performance of the Operator's advertising campaigns, to record visitors' target actions and to build audience segments for showing ads to users who have previously visited the Website (retargeting).
Legal basis: the user's consent (Article 6(1)(1) of the Law).
Set only after consent has been given. Declining does not affect how the Website works and does not reduce what is available on it.
2.4. How consent is given
Analytics and advertising cookies on the Website are set by the same services and serve both purposes at once, so consent to them is requested as a single choice: the user is offered either to accept optional cookies of both categories or to keep to the strictly necessary ones. Both purposes are named in the banner before the user makes a choice. Separate consent to the analytics category alone is not offered, because the services in use cannot be separated technically.
The Operator does not send advertising or marketing email.
3. Cookies in use
3.1. Cookies used on the Website
The list is the same for both language versions of the Website.
Strictly necessary. The Website sets no cookies of its own. The choice the user makes about cookies is stored in browser local storage under the key refocus-cookie-consent, is kept until the user deletes it and is not sent to the server.

Yandex Metrica cookies are classed as advertising because the counter is linked to the Yandex Direct advertising system: information about visitors' target actions is passed to it, and the audience segments built from Metrica are used to show ads to users who have previously visited the Website. The Operator does not request separate consent for analytics-only use of this service.
When the Website is opened from an advertisement, the page address may carry the yclid click identifier; it is tied to the visit by Yandex Metrica.
Before consent is given, the Yandex Metrica script is not loaded, no requests are made to its servers, and the cookies listed in the table are not set.
Browser local storage. Regardless of the user’s choice, the value refocus-cookie-consent is stored: the choice made about cookies. After consent, Yandex Metrica additionally stores service values prefixed with _ym_.
3.2. The list is kept up to date. When a new service that sets cookies is connected, the list is extended before that service starts to be used, and if the composition of the analytics categories changes, consent is requested again.
4. Transfer of data to third parties
4.1. Information collected using cookies is processed in the territory of the Russian Federation.
4.2. To collect and analyse information about visits to refocus.community, the web analytics service Yandex Metrica is used, provided by Yandex LLC (INN 7736207543, OGRN 1027700229193, address: 16 Lva Tolstogo St., Moscow, 119021, Russia), under the terms of use of the service published at yandex.ru.
4.2.1. The following are processed through that service: cookie identifiers, IP address, information about the browser and the device, information about the pages viewed and the actions taken on them, and the advertising click identifier. When the Session Replay feature is used, information about pointer movement, clicks and page scrolling is processed as well.
4.2.2. The data are processed in order to analyse traffic to the Website and improve its operation, and also in order to measure the performance of the Operator's advertising campaigns and build audience segments for showing ads. The counter is linked to the Yandex Direct advertising system; while the service runs, service information is exchanged with other domains of Yandex LLC.
4.2.3. As regards advertising technologies, Yandex LLC also uses the processed information in its own interests, and for that part of the processing it acts not only as a party processing data on the Operator's instructions but also as an independent recipient of personal data.
4.2.4. The Yandex Metrica counter is not loaded and cookies are not set until the user has consented to advertising cookies.
4.3. The Website is hosted in the cloud infrastructure of a provider engaged by the Operator. The hosting provider sets no cookies of its own.
4.4. The current list of parties processing personal data on the Operator's instructions, with the name and address of each, is given in clause 7.9 of the Personal Data Processing Policy.
5. Managing cookies
5.1. On a first visit to the Website the user is shown a banner that allows analytics and advertising cookies to be accepted or declined. Until consent is given, such cookies are not set and the corresponding scripts are not loaded.
5.2. Closing the banner, scrolling the page and continuing to view it do not constitute consent. In those cases only strictly necessary cookies are used.
5.3. The decision can be changed at any time through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page of the Website. The change takes effect immediately; if cookies are declined, analytics and advertising cookies set earlier are deleted.
5.4. The user may also delete or block cookies through the browser. If strictly necessary cookies are blocked, the correct operation of the Website is not guaranteed.
5.5. Consent to the use of cookies stands on its own and does not replace the consent to the processing of personal data given when registering in the Refocus platform.
6. Changes to this Policy
6.1. The Operator may amend this Policy. The current version is published on the Website with the date of the version.
6.2. If the set of cookies in use changes in a way that affects the analytics categories, consent is requested again.
